The Intermission presents Sonic Histories, an ongoing series exploring the oral and cultural histories embedded in music. Sonic Histories approaches sound as a social and spatial practice shaped by communities, geographies, and socio-political conditions. Through talks, live formats, and research-led programming, the series traces how scenes and stylistic languages emerge, circulate, and evolve over time, mapping the intersections of sound with art, philosophy, and politics. The program brings together academics, musicians, artists, and theorists in a shared, cross-disciplinary exchange.
